Original singer / songwriter / artist D. Mangione has been playing from her native Birmingham, Alabama for the past 16 years. She began as a street singer at a young age on Birmingham’s Southside - Five Points South. In a short time, this singer and her guitar have performed at hundreds of shows across the Southeastern U.S.

D. is a strong advocate for the protection of life and the endurance of the human spirit. Her songs evoke both the strong intensity and sweet tenderness of life, its hardness, and its beauty. D.’s music has been described as folk and bluegrass with a mix of cowgirl and punk, all surrounded with an honest rhythm.
